Drive 2 hours along the panamerican road to Puntarenas ferry terminal. Get the ferry called Tambor I or II to Paquera
(1 hour) and from Paquera drive 1.5 hours through Tambor and Cobano to Mal Pais.
At the cross roads between Mal Pais and Santa Teresa rutn left and drive 200 metres on the paved road.
You can also get a plane from San Josè to the loca Tambor airport and get a taxi or rent a car and drive 45 minutes
to Mal Pais.
